Slide Gate Installation & Repair in Fort Worth, TX

New slide gate systems, automation upgrades and emergency repairs — track and cantilever gates that roll right every time.

Slide gates are the workhorses of commercial entrances and sloped driveways — they secure wide openings without swing clearance and stand up to constant daily cycles. Red’s Mobile Welding fabricates, installs, automates and repairs slide gates across the Fort Worth–Azle area, from residential driveways to industrial yards.

We build both track-rolling and cantilever designs, welded from steel in our shop and fitted to your opening. Already have a slide gate that’s jumping the track, dragging, or ignoring its operator? Repair calls are our bread and butter.

Track vs. Cantilever: What's Right For Your Entrance

A track gate rolls on wheels along a ground rail — simple, economical and fine on concrete that doesn’t move. A cantilever gate floats over the opening on enclosed rollers, with no ground track to collect gravel, ice or shifting clay. On dirt drives and busy commercial entrances, cantilever is worth every penny.

We’ll assess your surface, slope and traffic and quote the design that will actually stay reliable — plus honest advice if your existing track gate can be saved with realignment instead of replacement.

Slide Gate Repairs Done Same-Week

The usual suspects: wheels worn flat, track heaved by tree roots or clay movement, guide rollers missing, a gate panel racked out of square, or an operator chain that’s eaten itself. We carry common wheels, rollers and chain on the truck, and we weld — so a cracked frame or bent picket panel gets fixed on site, not hauled away.

Every repair ends with a full-travel test under power, safety-device check and lubrication, so the gate doesn’t call you back next month.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a slide gate cost installed?
Fabricated residential slide gates with automation typically run $6,000–$12,000 installed in our area; commercial and high-security systems run more. Repairs are far less — most service calls with parts land between $150 and $600. Estimates are free.
Why does my slide gate keep coming off the track?
Usually one of three things: the track has shifted (tree roots, clay movement, vehicle strikes), the wheels are worn unevenly, or the gate frame is racked out of square. All three are fixable — and converting to cantilever eliminates the track entirely.
What is a cantilever gate and is it better?
A cantilever gate is a slide gate that hangs from rollers on posts instead of rolling on the ground — nothing touches the driveway surface. It costs more up front but eliminates track cleaning, ice jams and gravel problems, making it the most reliable choice for Texas conditions.
Can you automate my existing slide gate?
In most cases, yes. The gate needs to roll freely by hand and be structurally sound; we then size a slide gate operator to its weight and length and add UL 325 safety devices. If the gate needs repair first, we do that too.
Do you service commercial slide gates?
Yes — storage facilities, truck yards, HOAs and industrial sites across Tarrant and Parker Counties, including scheduled maintenance contracts and 24/7 emergency response for gates stuck open.
