Custom Iron Fence Installation in Fort Worth & Azle

Hand-built ornamental iron fencing for homes, estates and businesses — security and curb appeal that lasts for generations.

Nothing frames a property like real iron. Red’s Mobile Welding designs and installs custom ornamental iron fencing that adds security, value and serious curb appeal — welded steel, not the bolt-together kit panels from the big-box store.

Every fence is fabricated to your property’s actual grades and dimensions. Pickets are welded, not riveted; posts are set deep in concrete; and the whole assembly is finished to resist rust in Texas weather. The result is a fence that still looks right decades from now.

Welded vs. Pre-Fab: Why It Matters

Most fence companies assemble imported panels with screws and brackets. Those joints trap water, streak rust, and work loose. We weld every picket to the rail and grind the joints clean — a one-piece structure with nowhere for the weather to get a foothold.

You also aren’t limited to catalog sizes. Sloped yards get true racked panels (not stair-stepped gaps), odd lot lines get exact-length sections, and heights match what your property actually needs.

Finishes That Survive Texas

Bare steel doesn’t last outdoors, so preparation is everything. Our standard finish is a zinc-rich primer under two coats of industrial enamel; for maximum life we offer hot-dip galvanized or powder-coated packages. Black is classic, but any RAL color is available.

Combined with proper post depth (below the clay movement zone) and concrete footings, an iron fence from Red’s is a 30-plus-year improvement, not a 10-year one.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a custom iron fence cost per foot?
In the Fort Worth area, welded ornamental iron fencing typically runs $45–$90 per linear foot installed, depending on height, picket style and site conditions. Decorative estate work with custom scrollwork costs more. We quote exact pricing after a free on-site measure.
Is iron fencing better than aluminum?
For security and longevity, yes. Welded steel resists impact and cutting far better than aluminum, and welded joints outlast bolted aluminum connections. Aluminum's advantage is weight and zero rust — but properly finished steel gives decades of service at similar cost.
How long does installation take?
A typical residential front-yard fence (100–200 feet) takes three to five working days: one day for layout and post setting, concrete cure time, then panel installation and finish. Larger or heavily customized projects take longer.
Will an iron fence rust?
All steel wants to rust — the finish system is what stops it. We use zinc-rich primer, industrial topcoats and optional galvanizing, plus welded (not riveted) joints that don't trap water. With an occasional touch-up, expect 30+ years of service.
Can you match my existing iron fence for an addition?
Yes. We measure the existing profile, picket spacing, rail sizes and finial style and fabricate matching sections — a specialty that kit-panel installers simply can't offer.
